Akron Public Schools’ Free Summer Meals Program provides all kids and teens 18 and under with FREE nutritious meals on weekdays during summer break. All kids and teens are welcome! No need to be an Akron Public Schools student to participate.

Free summer meals are served every weekday in 24 air-conditioned lunchrooms right in your neighborhood – kids and teens not only enjoy a free meal, they also have fun spending time with friends! Find a convenient location below.
Meals are available from June 13 – August 5, unless otherwise noted. All locations will be closed June 20, and July 4-8.

Does your menu accommodate food allergies?
Yes, we provide nutrition and allergen information for all menu items upon request. In the summer, unlike the traditional school year, we have limited options to accomodate all substitution requests.
Does my child need to be present to receive a free meal?
Yes, all kids and teens must be present in order to receive a free meal.
Can summer meals be taken "to-go"?
No, all kids and teens must eat their free meal at the location.
Who is eligible to receive free meals?
All kids and teens 18 years of age and under.
Who will be preparing my child’s free summer meals?
Meals are prepared and served by Akron Public Schools food service staff.
